Welcome to Day 253...
And one of my ideas for "Effortless Marketing"...
So late last fall I ordered a number of enlarged post cards for marketing. On the front are pictures of my book covers along with quotes from readers. On the back are synopsis of the stories.
My plan was to mail them out to independent book store owners. Which is still in the works, but this weekend I came up with another idea.
To hand them out and post them in public places as I go through my week.
For example, on Sunday, the restaurant I was in for Easter Brunch has a bulletin board in the ladies with notices of upcoming events. So I tacked one up.
Then I left one on the counter near the mirrors in the gym.
Now I'm carrying a stack of them wherever I go.
And yes there's a good chance they'll just be thrown away, but then again if anyone of the postcards catches someones, anyone's eyes and a new sale is made, then it's a good thing. A very good thing.
