Day 111...Combating, The "It's Never Enough" Syndrome...

Welcome to Day 111...

So had a good day.  A very good day...that's because it was a much overdo "me" day. Yoga, a haircut, some time on the couch reading the newspaper, some time hanging with the family and...my dogs, Buddy and Abbie.  BTW...Abbie, the new puppy is settling in surprisingly well.

Oh and sprinkled in between it all, I got in some writing.

The operative word being some.

Because in my #busywriterslife, the guilt seems to always be there...I never feel I do enough...enough hours, enough effort, enough focus on my writing.

And I often think about folks who don't have other careers, or perhaps are single or who already have a huge track record of sales...or have a combination of all those situations.

I think about one successful author who I read had spent 2 straight weeks writing a novel. She didn't have a day job to think about and no one was asking her for a ride home from school or what was for dinner that night.

Truthfully I can't help but feel a little jealous.  Sometimes I wish had had the luxury of more time, or less responsibilities.

But I love my life and wouldn't change a thing (except of course for a seismic event that would catapult my books into best selling status)

And then there's my own reality...my own truth which is the fact that I've already proven I can make this work...over the past few years, in the midst of my crazy weeks, I've turned out 4 great novels that I'm really proud of.

It's just a matter of staying in the game and inching my way forward.  Everyday.  You should too.

And here's the thing...a little down time is fine, in fact it's good...and when all is said and done, I simply need to turn off the guilt, turn on the computer and write on...

Here's Today's Takeaway Lesson...

"Some People Succeed Because They Are Destined, But Most Because They Are Focused."

Here's to Being All In,
