Welcome to Day 192...
So I was out on an early morning walk today with the pup and I couldn't get a recent news event out of my head.
You might have heard about it - last night, a commuter train which services New York City and the northern suburbs of New York City and Connecticut, struck a vehicle which had gotten stuck on the tracks.
6 people were killed and more than a dozen more were injured.
It happened right near where I worked years ago and the tragedy of it all got me to thinking...
Life can change forever in just a single moment
I thought about those people who were doing nothing more than going home after a long day of work. Some will never make it home, some have weeks, maybe months of healing ahead of them, some will have walked away unharmed but will be forever shaken by that one horrific event.
It made me think about how fragile we are, how fleeting life is. So much so we can't take it for granted or move through our days not living a life we're head over heels in love with.
If not today, the when?
When will we begin to live our dreams? When will we work towards that new career? When will we take a chance and ask for forgiveness? When will we write the book we've always thought about or finished the one we started?
If not today, then when?
You simply can't delay.
