Day 301...Don't Be That Guy

Welcome to Day 301...

And not being that guy. Or gal ...

This past weekend I read an article about Denis Leary and his new series out on FX - Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll.

Leary reminisced about his journey to stardom, from stand up comedy to a dramatic actor in FX's successful series Rescue Me.

He also talked about his early days of writing comedy songs at Emerson College and becoming immersed in the music and comedy clubs.

It gave him a unique perspective when watching the journey of other musicians and comedians...

"I got to see guys who became famous, like the Cars, but what was more interesting to me were the ones left behind, the ones who say 'That could have been me,' the guys who would rather stand at the back of the room and criticize than take the leap."

The bottom line? Don't be the one standing in the back of the room. Go take a leap. A big leap into the career, the dream, the life you were meant to live.
