Welcome to Day 342...And formatting your manuscript for e-publishing...
There's lots of things to worry about when writing and e-publishing your novel. Obviously the big stuff applies...great characters, compelling plot line, twists and turns and a story arc that brings the reader real satisfaction.
But when the hard work is all done, there are a few small details to formatting your book to get it ready to upload on KDP
Here's the set up I use for my files:
I save my manuscript as a .doc file.
For Indents & Spacing...
Choose Home - Paragraphs - Indents & Spacing - in section, Indentation, under Special, select First Line by .3.
Next in the section marked Spacing - under Line Spacing, choose Multiple at 1.25.
For Fonts I use a single, clear font - an 11 pt Garamond
1 inch margins all around.
I have my title page - which simply looks like this...

SHADOWS
BY MAGGIE
COLLINS
Next comes my copyright/disclaimer...
