Welcome to Day 346...
And something every writer needs...
Or at least I happen to think so..
It's a writing platform that I just started working with. A software tool that does an incredible job of managing the sometimes chaotic process of outlining and writing as well as creating character and setting profiles.
It's called Scrivener and for a nominal price, I've found something that allows me to free write yet stay on track and map out my plot line. With Scrivener I can outline and summarize multiple scene ideas. Those ideas get posted on virtual "note cards" which can then be viewed in one location on a virtual “corkboard”.
Connected to each "note card" is simply a blank word doc sheet where you can write your scene.
The program includes a host of formatting and tracking options which makes it the ideal tool to use if you're thinking of taking on the NANOWRIMO's 30 day 50,000 word challenge http://nanowrimo.org/.
