Welcome to Day 133...
Yesterday's Takeaway Message was...
"I Can. I Will. End of Story"
And I'm happy to report I DID.
In the midst of another crazy day - more decorating, a trip to the movies with my son and his friend...driver's end car pool - I finished 2 full hours of writing and editing today.
It wasn't a straight 2 hrs. It was broken up into half hour and 45 minute increments at different spots throughout the day.
So what exactly was it that got my a** in gear?
G-U-I-L-T
Like most writers, I care so much about my books and in my writing success. Unfortunately sometimes we also neglect the things we love.
As you've been reading from my recent posts, my output lately has been less than stellar. A fact which has caused some unsettling twinges to turn to outright guilt.
My writing means to world to me and quite frankly and I don't want any bad feelings associated with it.
So is guilt a great motivator? Probably not for the long term. The best possible track to get on and stay on, is writing everyday. That way the guilt and the twinges have no place in my life at all.
Here's Today's Takeaway Lesson...
"Nothing Worth Having Comes Easy"
Here's to Being All In,
