Welcome to Day 161...
So tomorrow it's back to reality.
That's when my 10+ day break from my day job officially comes to an end. And while the holidays were great, life also threw in a couple of challenges - my son's car accident, my mom's fender bender, my husband and my other son's stomach flu. Thank God everyone is okay, but those unexpected events derailed some of my writing plans.
Such is the #busywriterslife.
But I'm committed to getting this draft done and out for editing as soon as possible. And to make that happen I need to stay focused while getting back into the crazy routine of life. And that means showing up at my early morning writing time - Every - Single - Day.
So to get a jump start on it all...
I got the fridge stocked (thanks to my hubby), got a few meals cooked for the week, caught up on the laundry, helped my daughter who's heading back tomorrow to college tomorrow get organized & packed and then tonight it's dinner out for my daughter's send off.
As far as the writing...I set some writing and editing goals for the week - scenes to complete and update.
And I'm also doing something else.
I'll be setting up 3 jars on desk this week...
1. My 2015 Goal Jar.
I'll be writing down a 3-5 of my big goals for the year and keeping them close by as reminders of where to go and what to do.
2. My Money Saving Challenge Jar
I'll be putting some scheduled cash away each week with the plan to have $1378 or more saved up by the end of the year.
3. My New Year's Memory Jar
I'll be writing down the good things that happen throughout the year and at years end, I can revisit and have reminders all these blessed, wonderful moments.
