Welcome to Day 188...
I've written before about where to find great book ideas and characters. Today I wanted to share another way to find some unusual plot lines to weave through your stories.
Simply goggle conspiracy theories.
And then be prepared, you can get lost in all this for a while.
With everything from covert wars, to 9/11 theories, to shadow governments, to centralized control of the world banks, add in some political cover ups mixed with unexplained deaths and you'll find there's no shortage of ideas - some dating back to the 1700s.
So what's the 911 on all these theories?
I say take from them what you will. While some may rooted in a foundation of truth, others are far-fetched and down right crazy.
Regardless, there's a treasure trove of ideas in play. Which means if you're not entirely sure how your character could launder some cash, or kill off a political nemesis, or set up a false flag to stage a secret government operation...just check out the thousand of theories out there and you just might find some great ideas to work with.

Welcome to Day 187...
So we had some snow here in the Hudson Valley this morning...
Not much, just enough to cause a school delay and a round of shoveling for the driveway.
Usually my hubby takes care of the driveway, but he had an early meeting, so out I went - shovel in hand.
And then crazy set in.
I don't know if it's my adult A.D.D. or some other mind meld, but as I moved the shovel through the light powder, there was no rhyme or reason to my method.
I mean none what so ever.
I started in one spot and then without finishing, I would move to another section. There was no formula to my moves - straight line, curves, 2 up, 6 back. I'm sure the neighbors thought I was crazy. What wasn't crazy was that the driveway turned out just fine. Great in fact.
Anyway there was more erratic behavior earlier this morning. Just around 4 am. That's when I was up writing. Erratic writing if you will. I was working on some connecting scenes and as the ideas were moving through my brain at warp speed.
And in the midst of it all I was jumping from one scene to another with no rhyme or reason.
But it all turned out okay, better than okay. I got drafts and outlines for three scenes I needed...along with some great dialogue.
Sometimes erratic just works.
